Every set includes everything you need to get up and running from a single power point:
Nothing else to buy. The power supply, harness, and bulbs are matched to each other — you just plug in and hang them.
Opaque Collection — Solid-coloured bulbs with an internal LED filament that glows warmly through the opaque casing. The classic look: bold, saturated colour, exactly like the original incandescent C9s from decades past. Available in 7 colour combinations.
Jewel Tone Collection — Transparent glass-look bulbs with an exposed LED filament inside. The clear casing means you can see the filament glowing, producing a sparkling, faceted, more luminous effect — richer and more premium than the opaque sets. Currently available in one combination: Imperial Mix (Red, Purple, Amber, Blue, Green).
The wiring harness is 5 metres long with 25 bulb sockets spaced 20cm apart — the same spacing as traditional commercial C9 strands. This gives you a full run of warm, evenly-spaced light along a roofline, mantle, staircase, or tree.
Yes. Each power supply supports up to three sets connected end-to-end — that's 75 bulbs across a 15-metre run from a single power point. The wiring harness has a male connector at one end and a female connector at the other, so sets link together directly without adaptors.
Do not exceed three sets per power supply. Doing so exceeds the rated load and will trip the supply's built-in protection.
Yes. The bulbs are standard C9 (E17) screw-base — they unscrew and replace individually. We sell spare bulbs separately so you won't need to replace an entire set for one failed globe. Contact us at info@yeoldechristmaslights.com.au to order spares.
Our current sets are rated for indoor use only. The power supply and wiring harness are not weatherproofed for direct rain exposure. They're well suited for covered verandas, eaves with shelter, or any indoor application — mantles, staircases, trees, windows.
We're working on an outdoor-rated version. If outdoor use is your primary need, get in touch and we'll let you know when it's available.
Safety
SELV stands for Safety Extra-Low Voltage, a standard used in professional and commercial electrical applications where the risk of electric shock needs to be minimised — hospitals, bathrooms, and outdoor lighting are common examples.
Most C9 Christmas light sets sold overseas run directly on mains voltage: 120V (US) or 240V (Europe). At those voltages, contact with a bare wire or broken socket is a genuine hazard. Our power supply steps the voltage down to 24V DC before it reaches the wiring harness or bulbs. At 24V, the risk profile changes meaningfully — particularly relevant if you have young children or pets who might interact with the lights.
No. Each bulb draws only 0.4W — a full set of 25 uses 10W in total, less than a single old incandescent lamp. The bulbs run at close to ambient temperature and are safe to touch while lit. This is one of the meaningful practical advantages of LED filament technology over the original incandescent C9s, which ran very hot.
The power supply is supplied with an Australian standard Type I plug and is designed and tested to Australian voltage standards (240V AC input). If you have specific compliance queries for commercial or event applications, contact us and we'll provide documentation.
Ordering & Shipping
Click Order Now on any product in the shop. You'll be taken to a secure Stripe-hosted checkout page — no account required. Payment is processed directly by Stripe, one of the most widely trusted payment platforms available. We never see or store your card details.
Stripe accepts all major credit and debit cards — Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also available at checkout on supported devices. We do not accept bank transfer or PayPal at this time.
Yes — we ship to all states and territories including regional and remote addresses. Standard shipping is calculated at checkout based on your postcode. Delivery typically takes 3–7 business days for metro areas and up to 10 business days for regional destinations, depending on your carrier and time of year.
Orders are dispatched within 1–3 business days of payment confirmation. You'll receive a shipping confirmation with tracking details once your order has left us. During peak pre-Christmas periods, dispatch times may extend slightly — we'll communicate any delays proactively.
Yes. We work with event companies, decorators, retailers, and venues. Email us at info@yeoldechristmaslights.com.au with your business name and ABN and we'll send through a trade pricing sheet. Minimum order quantities apply for trade pricing.
Effective from launch — Ye Olde Christmas Lights Co.
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement, repair, or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
If your order arrives faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described, we will make it right at no cost to you. Contact us within 30 days of receiving your order and we will arrange one of the following at our discretion, or yours in the case of a major failure:
We may ask for a photo or brief description of the fault to help us improve our products. We will cover any return postage costs where a fault is confirmed.
We are a small Australian business and do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind. Please read product descriptions carefully before purchasing, and get in touch at info@yeoldechristmaslights.com.au if you have questions before ordering — we're happy to help you choose the right set.
Orders can be cancelled for a full refund if they have not yet been dispatched. Contact us as soon as possible at info@yeoldechristmaslights.com.au with your order number. Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled — the returns process above applies instead.

We aim to respond to all return requests within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
