Almost every C9 Christmas light set sold overseas runs on mains voltage — 120V in the US, 240V in the UK. That's not a detail; it's a meaningful safety difference, especially in households with young children and pets.
Our system operates at 24V SELV (Safety Extra-Low Voltage) — a standard used in professional and commercial electrical applications where genuine protection matters.
Our Story
We grew up with big, fat C9 bulbs strung along eaves and wrapped around trees; their warm, amber glow softening the whole street on Christmas Eve. Then they disappeared.
What replaced them was brighter, cheaper, and colder. The new LED sets looked nothing like the lights we remembered. They were efficient, sure, but they had none of the warmth. It wasn't Christmas.
No one in Australia was making authentic C9 LED lights with a genuine incandescent-style glow. So we built Ye Olde Christmas Lights Co. to fill that gap; sourcing heavy-duty components, designing a safe 24v system, and getting the colour temperature right.
These aren't mass-produced imports. They're a considered product for people who care about getting Christmas right.
